No matter what line of creativity you are in, there is always the question of what to do next. What should the subject matter be? What is it’s purpose? What message do I want to portray? What will others think?
All these questions… more to worry about and more to consider. Enough of this!
What about just doing what interests you?
In the “my art” section of my LBplayswithart website I say, “What may seem ordinary, often has an untold story”. Ok, so what exactly does this mean?
Getting back to the basics
You don’t need to go for any specific formal training. You don’t need to go searching for days. I can guarantee you there is something in your present day that is interesting, eye catching and has the potential to be “wow” for inspiration.
There is an untold story in every situation, in every corner you look. Something is blossoming quietly, ready for its colourful unveiling, miracles of love and life are forming, someone has a secret, emotions are high / or low and are about to erupt… the options are endless!
Consider the following. It’s there right in front of you:

Are you REALLY looking?

Are you only touching the surface?

What about taking a deeper dive?
Being overwhelmed - too much choice
Ahh so now we have so many options we don’t know where to start. Enough with the analysis - just do. If you really are battling, select a top 3, randomly select the winner and stick with it. If it’s a flop - so what? Take two, take three.
If you don’t try, you won’t see, you won’t feel.
If you don’t start making decisions and keep on procrastinating, you won’t reach your full potential.
In summary

Creativity is about going where not everyone has the courage to go, so come on take the lead!
