Crumble Town
It is crumbling. The old, whilst the new is on the sunny horizon.
It is crumbling, and yet it is colourful. It is exciting and there is opportunity for rejuvenation.

Onlooker
Whilst there is disorder in the background. She sees it. Renewable energy powering the city and there is victory. Greed is exposed, greed is eliminated. All is well and all is one together. Enshrined within the petals of synergy.

Scent of anthuriums
There is beauty in chaos. To find it, you however need to stop. STOP and smell the anthuriums. What scent do you witness?

Red shiny spurts
Simple bursts of happiness juxtaposed amongst some greenery.

Shattered
Shattered by the sound of the fireworks, the bangs, the bombs, the sparkling sprays of colour.

Flooding settlement
Its not rain. Its colour. Its rich culture, it’s nature and naturing, securing safety and inclusion. Its community.

Stretchy Strelitzia’s (3801)
They stretch and stretch into the strong South African sun. Finally, the Bird of Paradise makes its debut.

The natured old house
Everything has a life cycle. Nature will always take over. These statements are oddly comforting. This scene represents these statements for me. The scene is of an old decrepit, decaying house in Leeu Gamka, Western Cape.
We drove past it in the early hours of the morning and the sun had just started its awakening in the distance. Highlighting how nature had taken over… beautifying the neglected house, making you want to explore it further.

The grand hustle
“Bra, you interested in some? Come quick, follow me over there!”

My South Africa
Everyday the little bottles are displayed on a small shaky table. The roadside pavement - a small section is cleaned patiently with a brush.
In the background the cities large buildings overlook having more, overlook having little. Today she has not made a sale and wonders how she will quieten the nagging hunger.

What the hell is this
No structure. Unplanned… Is life planned? Are we really in control? It may be something you don’t want to see, it may be something you like. Just like our current reality – complex. Sometimes messy and full of colour.
Sometimes bright, structured and perfect. Sometimes dark. Sometimes its calm and simple and uncomplicated. Have you ever thought that thing that doesn’t make sense is there for a reason, it just depends what lens you are looking through?

Noordhoek Gander
They waddle, they are nosey and they raise their young foraging off the campsite. They are the Noordhoek gander.

Boulders hiding
A scene of boulders beach. Monochrome patches – inspired by the gorgeous black and white penguins that inhabit the beach. The penguins in this scene were in hiding. However, we know they are there…

Zorn’s anthuriums
Zorn was a famous Swedish artist who was skilled at using a specific palette of colour. This watercolour was inspired by his palette of black, white, red and yellow.
